Welcome to my blog

In today’s article I will be shearing  some differences between a Ponzi scheme, pyramid scheme and a network marketing business.

When you are new to making money online, you will be introduced to different platforms but it is always advisable that you know what you want so that you make a right choice for yourself.

Though often times, it may be difficult for you to know what you want without understanding some differences between different platforms.

That is why I decided to post this article so that it can help people like you to make the right choice for yourself.

There are many differences between Ponzi, pyramid, and network marketing businesses though, these names may be used interchangeably by those who are new to these schemes but there aren’t the same.

Below are few differences between a Ponzi scheme, a pyramid scheme and a network marketing business.

In this post I will be explaining them based on their level of involvement.
method of payments.
and platform stability.

Ok let’s proceed

Level of involvement:

In a Ponzi scheme, members are not actively involved.
After a member’s initial investment, he/she is not expected to do anything..... all that is expected from the investor is the initial investment

but in a pyramid scheme, after the initial investment by the investor, he/she is expected to be actively involved in the business by referring other investors to the platform.

While in a network marketing business, an investor becomes a member of the platform by purchasing goods or services provided by the platform and he/she is expected to be actively involved in the business by referring other investors to partner with the platform or to purchase a product produced by the company.

These three platforms may shear some similarities but they are distinctively different from each other in terms of their level of involvement.

Method of payments:

Members generate money through these platforms but in different ways.

In Ponzi scheme the money that a participant gets back from the platform is seen as his/her return on investment.

Members of Ponzi schemes believe that the money they earn is a return on their investment.

But in pyramid scheme, you get paid by bringing in other people into the platform.

The people that are doing this particular business, they believe and understand that they get paid by referring other people to this platform.

And in network marketing business, you get paid as a result of the sales that you and your team members have been able to generate.

This means you get paid by introducing other people to the platform, and also by selling products to customers.

Stability of these platforms:

Stability of these platforms depend on the managements, if the management is good. The three platforms can last for a very long time.

One thing I always hear people say is that Ponzi schemes are not really strong enough, it doesn’t last long and bla bla bla….. this may be true to some extent though I have seen some Ponzi schemes lasting for over thirty years… so it depends on the management.

In conclusion what I always advise people is that, if your aim is to generate residual income, you should join a platform that has a physical product or a platform that provides quality services that you can serve to consumers because residual income comes as a result of you being able to generate sales.

when you are able to generate sales for a company, the company will pay you a percentage of the sales that you have been able to generate and that is the only way that you can start making your residual income.

But if you join a company that doesn’t have a product, there is no way that you will be able to generate sales and there will be nothing like residual income.

Don't confuse company's activities like providing trainings and visiting charity homes to mean services provided by that company.

These acts are known as company's activities. A company that provides services is the type that distributors get paid by extending those services to a final consumers.

E.g include a travel company.

So my advice is if you want to join a company, if you want to join a platform online, join a platform that has a physical product or a service that you can generate sales.

Remember anything you are doing online, is selling but you have to know that in order for you to generate residual income, the selling has to be done repeatedly.

Apart from that, you have to know that is not all the time that you ought to be recruiting people in order for you to get paid you have to get to a point were your money keeps coming even if you recruit or not.

go ahead and watch the video I have explained some point in it.

The catch here is that in Ponzi scheme you won’t be able to generate residual income,

in pyramid scheme you won’t be able to generate residual income

but in network marketing your residual income is certain.

So before making that choice of joining any online platform, you have to know what you want.

Is it residual income that you are looking for?
If that is what you are looking for, then you have to select a good platform for yourself.
