SHOULD YOU BRAND YOUR NETWORK MARKETING COMPANY OR YOU SHOULD BRAND YOURSELF?.
Should you let people know that you represent yourself or you want people to know that you represent your network marketing business??
I don't want this post to be long. I want to be as specific as possible and I believe the values you will obtain from this post will worth your time.
Alot of networkers are confuse to the answer about this particular question. They don't know if they should make people describe their personality to their business talents and potentials or to their network marketing company.
In some of my previous posts, I always talk about branding, it's effect and how it's done. If you've been following my articles by now you should know the meaning of branding but incase today is your first time reading my article, I'll quickly summarize branding.
Your brand is your business personality.
Branding is a process of giving personality to yourself in the business world.
Your brand is your personality.
your mode of operation in your business is your brand just as your mode of operation in life is your personality.
In business our personality is our brand.
When people think about your business are they influenced by your core talents , uniqueness, promptness, effectiveness or they are influenced by your network marketing company's promptness, effectiveness, uniqueness e.tc?
When you brand yourself rather than your network marketing business, people are influenced by your qualities and potentials.
Remember your potentials and qualities comprise of everything about you Including ( how you relate with your prospects, your method of presentations, your outfits, your country, state, income level e.t.c).
your qualities comprise of all these things and these are the things that will influence your prospects when joining or buying your products.
when you brand your network marketing company, anytime your prospects see you, they will not be influenced by your personal qualities or potentials, but rather, they will be influenced by your network marketing company's potentials and qualities.
Whether you like it or not in your business, people are always seeing and thinking about you in a certain way. your brand (Personality) will influence them to join or not to join you.
Here's my suggestion regarding this topic.
When you are new to the business world, your business potentials and qualities are low, You won't really have confident in yourself because you are new and you know it, you can't deceive yourself.
you may want to brand your company ( i.e promote your company's personality to the public ) the reason for this is because you don't really have a strong brand.
No body knows your business personality when you are new to network marketing, so the best thing you can do at this initial stage is to brand your network marketing company.
When you brand your network marketing company at this initial stage, anytime your prospects see you, your company's personality (brand ) will influence them either to buy your products or to join your company.
Many people make the mistake of branding themselves from day one maybe as a result of what they've been taught by their uplines, don't do like them... don't do it because you will be frustrated.
Brand your network marketing company when you are just starting as a new networker then when you have been in the business world for a while and have gathered momentum based on your experiences, Personal development, tangible results and great connections, you may then decide to create your personal brand.
Creating a personal brand requires you to understand alot of things about yourself don't be in a rush to do it.
Branding yourself simply means consciously making the public know what you represent.
You do this by consciously projecting your potentials, qualities, uniqueness and what you represent to them so that anytime they hear your name, your personal qualities and uniqueness will influence them to join your company or buy your product.
Some professional networkers always fail in creating their personal brand on time. They brand their network marketing companies to the point that they become invisible to the public. No one knows about their uniqueness, potentials and qualities.
In my opinion once you have been established as a great networker with a sizeable team and income, it's time to start creating your personal brand.
Note: YOU ARE NOT YOUR NETWORK MARKETING COMPANY, YOU ARE YOURSELF.
Since this post is not about explaining the disadvantages of branding your network marketing company, I wouldn't like to go into that but let me quickly let you know that as a professional networker if you brand your company, and something negative happens to that company, your reputation will equally be affected.
In conclusion; when you are new to network marketing industry, brand your company because at this phase your company's brand is stronger than yours, it will be easier for prospects to buy into your company's personality than yours but after you have gotten momentum in the industry with reasonable team and income you are to build your personal brand and not your network marketing company's brand.
