Do you know why it is called network marketing business? Maybe I should ask this way.... do you know why business is included in network marketing??
The reason is because it's also a business. Alot of people join our industry with a wrong mindset.
I know for sure that 80% of those who join the network marketing industry have never been involved in any business of any sort Neither have they obtained any tutorial on how to run and maintain a successful business.
Many of them are not entrepreneurial oriented and this result to alot of frustration when they join our industry.
The network marketing profession is a business just like every other business in the world.
Personally, when I joined the network marketing industry back in 2015, I was trapped in the thinking that network marketing isn't a business. I saw it to be more of a charity organisation were the founder has decided to assist and help people willingly.
I saw it this way Maybe as a result of how the business was presented to me .
That I can't tell, but I am sure that I never considered it to be a business.
Up until now, 90% of people if not 100% join our industry with a wrong perception and that is what I want to talk about in this post.
One of the reasons why many people don't succeed in our profession is not because it's difficult but it's mostly because of not understanding our profession very well.
Lack of understanding will restrict your ability and zeal for the business. It will limit the energy, enthusiasm, passion and dedication needed to succeed in the business.
Here is what I mean;
During my initial days in this profession, since I didn't see it as a business, it was difficult for me to do the things that should be done in a business.
Let me make you understand better: I thought that my registration fee was the only money I needed to start and maintain my business. It never occurred to me that in every business, after investing your capital, you still need money from other sources to run and maintain your business until it's able to start yielding profit.

It took me some time to understand that this is equally applicable in network marketing business.
I thought all I needed to start, run and maintain my network marketing business was my registration fee.
While some networkers may tell you that all you need for your network marketing business is your registration fee, I want you to know that it's not.
If you are a new networker and you have the mindset that all you need is your registration into your network marketing company , then be ready to eat a big lunch.
Network marketing is a business like every other business in the world. you need to bring money from other sources to grow it. You need to purchase books, buy company's materials like flyers, clothes e.t.c
You need to be attending seminars regularly so that you upgrade your skills.
The advice I can offer to any new networker, is to study more about how to start, maintain and run a traditional business so that he or she understands what to face in his or her network marketing business.
I'm not saying that the mode of operating a network marketing business is the same with a traditional business all I want you to note is that the features are the same.
This exposure will position you for success in our industry.
