I know that many people are attracted to and kept in the network marketing industry because of the money. 

It wasn't so in my case. 

I was attracted by the money but I was kept by the Industry's philosophy.

 

I naturally like wisdom. In fact, by continuously studying myself I've come to realize that I'm naturally aligned with wisdom about nature and the mind.  

I'll say that I am closely aligned with philosophy and psychology.

I love the network marketing Industry because it cuts across these two areas and above all it equally enables me to earn money in the process.

Network Marketing Industry is a great Industry because it cuts across almost every area of life ranging from the medical profession, religion, Marketing, lecturing, philosophy, psychology, etc.

I don't know of any Industry that has all these in it.

As a committed network marketer, you will end up becoming great at different professions because network marketing cuts across all these professions. 

That is why the Industry is seen as a personal development business with a compensation plan attached to it.

When you observe it critically you realize that we get paid to develop ourselves... Nothing is more amazing than this.

All I do every day is read, apply what I read in my business, and get paid. 

The more I read and apply, the more money I earn.

It wasn't always like this, I was "asleep" before I was introduced to this industry but I didn't know. 

I was sleep-living. 

Despite that I didn't have any direction for my life then my mind was always making me feel like I knew a lot of things about life.

It was after listening to some great teachers that I started waking up.

Below are some quotes that woke me during my first year in this industry.

You may have heard about them before but I still encourage you to read them again because you can't get too much of wise words.

#1) BE A STUDENT AND NOT A FOLLOWER.

I got this statement from my first mentor. 

I have been living by this advice since then and it's been awesome. 

This statement means that you should not let anyone decide for you. 

Be willing to learn and receive advice but let your actions be a result of your conclusion not based on someone else's advice.

Don't let anyone order your life around. Accept advice but not orders. 

The fact that someone is older than you doesn't mean he or she is qualified to decide for you... Fools equally grow old.

If you read two books and one of the books suggested a strategic way to becoming successful and the second book opposes that suggestion... it's at this point that you must remember that you must be a student and not a follower. 

Analyze both books based on your potentials and life experiences and act on your conclusion.

#2) IF YOU DON'T THINK YOU DESERVE TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL, YOU WILL ALWAYS DO THINGS THAT WILL PREVENT YOU FROM BECOMING SUCCESSFUL.

I got this quote from Zig Ziglar. 

I have to be real with you this quote has helped me on different occasions mostly when my mind is overwhelmed with different choices to make about a particular task I'm handling.

This quote simply means that you shouldn't disturb yourself about the future just focus on perfecting each day and your future will take care of itself.

Do what you can with what you have where you are and you will always get ahead.

In my opinion, the reason why most networkers ain't seeing further in their business is simply that they are not going as far as possible.

You won't get more ideas to implement in your network marketing business if you are not acting on the ideas you already have.

This is true...

You will only be hungry after your blood sugar has been depleted.

You won't be able to put water in an already-filled jar.

From personal experience, the more intensely I implemented a particular idea, the more I was likely to receive new ideas.

The reality is that you won't get new ideas to build your business until you have exhausted your current ideas.

You won't see further unless you've gone as far as you could see.

The concept is always about going as far as you can see... As you do that, you will always be able to see further.

#3) DON'T ASK FOR LESSER PROBLEMS SEEK FOR MORE SKILLS.

I got this quote from my first mentor. 

Many people miss this. They always wish to encounter lesser problems or lesser challenges. 

Here's the reality. 

No one has ever experienced less problems they only grow stronger in skills and knowledge.

This quote simply means that you should rather channel your energy toward the area you can control. 

You can't control what is likely to happen to you but you can always control what you will do.

Your reactions will be based on your knowledge, wisdom, and skills. 

Focus on refining your skills and your problems won't take over you.

During my early days in this industry, I wished for people to join my team easily even when I wasn't doing the necessary activities.

It's very easy to wish for the impossible but always remember that it's wiser to seek more skills than seek for less problems.

This quote has helped me since I got it. 

It has helped me to take charge of the results in my business. 

I'm more focused on developing my skills rather than wishing for less challenges in my business.

#4) THE WEALTHIEST PLACE ON THE PLANET IS THE GRAVEYARD

I got this quote from Les brown. 

Les Brown is a motivational speaker and an author. 

This quote was one of the best quotes I heard during that time of my life.

The quote simply means that the ideas that are expressed in the world are nothing compared to the ideas that are not expressed. 

In other words, many people have died without expressing their potentials.

I don't know who you are but this is what I know about you... 

You have great potentials that will amaze people if you worked on them.

Every one of us has great potential. If we stayed committed to expressing it, we will shock the world...

Yes, you are right...

The issue is that many people fail to express their potentials because they are busy expressing their doubts and fears.

Decide today not to contribute to the wealth of the graveyard.

Since then I've never fallen asleep again.

No, I've not arrived yet I'm still a work in progress but certainly, if one person can be inspired by this article, I'll be ok.

#5) THE PROBLEM IS NOT ABOUT MAKING THE MONEY, THE PROBLEM IS THE TYPE OF PERSON YOU MUST BECOME IN OTHER TO MAKE THE MONEY. 

During my early days in this industry after I joined that first Company, I was fortunate to receive some great audiobooks from the person that guided me through the entire registration process.

He gave me some training materials that started me right. 

One of those materials was Go pro audiobook ( the 7 steps to becoming a network marketing professional by Eric worre ).

It was in that audiobook that I heard Eric say that "in network marketing, the problem isn't about making money but it's about the kind of person you must become to make the money".

This statement was a total mind shift.

I was beginning to understand that the business wasn't necessarily only about physically inviting people to a seminar hall but it was also about Understanding and relating with humans.

It was more of changing myself.

It was all about attracting the money not pursuing it.

While many networkers still miss this fact by thinking they can make money without changing themselves, a lot of networkers are realizing that it always begins and ends with an individual.

The amount of money you earn in your network marketing company is always in direct ratio to what you know, Understand, and believe about the industry.

In summary, this quote simply means that

You can't earn more than what you know about this industry.

#6) YOU CAN'T HOPE TO BECOME WHAT YOU ARE NOT GOING AFTER, YOU WILL ONLY BECOME WHAT YOU ARE BECOMING

I got this quote from Dr. Myles Munroe 

This quote not only woke me, it equally made me understand where my life was likely to end up if I kept on doing what I was doing.

In reality, we don't have the power to choose our destinies but we do have the power to choose our habits and our habits will decide our destinies.

Irrespective of what you want your destiny to be, if your habits are not in line with the destiny you want, you won't get there.

This quote simply means that you will become your habits not what you want to be.

You will certainly become what you are becoming. No more... No less.

#7) 5 YEARS FROM NOW YOU WILL ARRIVE BUT THE QUESTION IS WHERE?

This is another powerful quote I got from my first mentor. 

This quote simply means that whether you use your time wisely or not, you will reap the results of your decisions in the years ahead.

As time passes by, you will either arrive at a well-designed destination, or you will arrive at an undesigned destination.

Everyone would love to arrive at a well-designed destination but here's the truth, you won't have a wonderful future if you didn't create it.

You don't want to delude yourself by thinking the future will be great when you haven't done anything to make it so.

You must take charge of your life and be sure to design the life you want.

#8) YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MOST OF THE TIME.

I got this quote from Brian Tracy. 

I know he's not the originator but I first heard it from him in one of his Trainings.

From research, we've been made to understand that all great trainers, inventors, researchers, religions, and teachers have disagreed on different ideas, but it's only in this idea that they are all in unanimous agreement that we become what we think about most of the time.

Anyone who knows how the mind works knows the power of thought.

Your thoughts are the ideas that direct all your daily activities which produce the results you get in your business and life.

The result we obtain in our business is a reflection of our thoughts about our business.

To change the results you are getting in your business, you must be willing to change your thoughts about your business.

This was one of the most liberating quotes that impacted my life during my early days in the network marketing industry.

This quote has been my guide since then.

In my opinion; I think the more you expand your mind, the more you comprehend this quote and the more you comprehend the quote, the more you learn and positively use your thoughts.
